Weekend snapshot

Talk about starting the weekend on a scary note... Exams were to be conducted for the SMP that I attend on weekends, and an hour into the session the link went down... And how in the world did that happen... Well, it seems the Air conditioner was not working, and they called the technician in to fix it... Our man goes ahead and tries to fix something that is not required and there's a complete blackout at the center... And i'm like... Oh man, there goes my exam..
Well, i'm hoping that the Microeconomics examination was not conducted, because the QAM session went without one...
Nevertheless, lo and behold, Congress won a majority in the Great Indian Elections 2009... ow the hell did that happen? Well, the answers are pretty simple... 1. Things can't get any worse from what they are now... 2. The Middle class voted this time... 3. There were only a few leaders that people can look up to... 4. To a certain extent again, the way the Petroleum and Truck Driver strikes were handled by the Government...

Back to our li'l man, who is just happy with himself... It happens again and agin, but he has this telepahtic ability of knowing when I have arrived, and he comes jumping down the stairs.. And this time in addition, to the enthusiastic exclamation of my name, I was warmly invited when he said, "aaiye, aayie, baithiye baithiye"... lol...
When you know you have an exam to write, and you have your son jumping around you... It calls for crisis management... lol... So what do I do, I take my son out to the Petrol Pump close to Suman Vihar, and we mutually decide on which ice cream flavors to eat... (well, when I say mutual decision... He decides the flavors and I agree to pay :):):P).. So after a nice and short trip... we settle down in front of the TV to watch the latest episode of "Dance India Dance"... And I really enjoyed the dance by Prince and Salman on "Chal mere bhai"... After Mehaan went to sleep, I managed to catch up on some sections of the QAM module so that I can atleast clear the examination...

Sunday, the day both Minzie and Mehaan were travelling back to Pune... I tried to spend as much time with him as possible... I know that it's sometimes crazy to compromise on certain things which impact you in the long run for immediate gratificaiotn... but spending time with him was more important than anything else... I know he'll miss me once he goes back, and i'll miss him too... In fact i feel very alone... difficult to explain...

But he ensured that he left his imprints on everything before he left, whether it was sitting naked on the bed and eating ice-cream with a wooden spoon, or trying to fill water in cooler and making a pool of water on the floor... lol... he does everything in style.... Well, now it's back to the daily grind... I'm waiting to take leave for a few days, so i can set up a couple of things at Pune... Let's see how it goes...

Clients, wedding and weather

What an interesting day, the weather gods in Nagpur finally decided to cool off leaving us with a cloudy day and strong winds... There was a wedding on the cards, and I was hoping that rain should not paly truant with my evening plans... Left office at about 7.00pm sharp, ran home, changed, attended the wedding, dodged the rain and finally reached Suman Vihar at about 10.00pm... God... try doing that on a scooter with winds whipping your face at almost 40m an hour and you'll know what i mean...
As always, our man has some sort of telepathic ability of announcing my name when i'm at the door... So i was greeted pretty enthusiasticly by our li'l man.. i also got to see some newly learnt dance moves by him... and a small training session was also conducted by the li'l master for yours truly...
Well after that it was just playing around with Mehaan... batting and bowling seem to be his new past time along with makeshift creation of meals, where he adds a lot of oregano... lol... oh btw... when i entered the house, he offered me a glass of water saying... "yeh lo, take, pijiye"... lolol
Rest all seems alright... the wedding was fine... i guess Bhaskar uncle would have really liked it if Dad and Ma were around.. Nevertheless, i hope they remember that i attended the wedding.. but the wedding per se was arranged pretty well... with a live band, just like my wedding... speaking of which, my colleagues in office were wondering as to why men forget the wedding dates... i don't think i want to answer that ;)
Tomorrow is a day with one of the first examinations of SMP coming up... let's see what happens... i'm quite sure i'll get thru tho'... so signing out for the day...

Missed out on meeting Mehaan yesterday

Sometimes, one should never plan things out... Like yesterday, I planned to take an early day off to meet Mehaan, and I run into an urgent client requirement.. Sad... That kept me in office till 2230 hours.. I'm sure Mehaan won't be happy... Nevertheless, I'll definitely try to meet him today... He's becoming really talkative nowadays... and there are some words that he comes up with.. I have no clue where he learned them from... How can a 2 and half year old kid call a pack of Gems as "Chocolate ki duniya"... lol...
But what do I do about the other problems that I face consistently... I'm glad that he understands what i speak, and that he listens to what i say.. But, how can you explain your turmoil to a child... I hope he never faces a similar situation in his lifetime...
It was a good day... the Y&DB team got an extremely personal note from the clients.. I'm glad we're touching them as individuals, than as an organisation....
Mom and Dad must be pretty upset with the fact that I moved to Nagpur... they have their obvious reasons.. let's see what i can do about that...
All said and done, today is a big day... the evening will probably be hectic with one of the weddings... And then rushing off to Suman Vihar... To be or not to be is the question...
